We are seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications through accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare providers. This role plays a critical part in improving patient outcomes and upholding regulatory compliance.  **Kex Rx Atchison is located 45 minutes from North Kansas City.**

Essential Responsibilities:

• Candidates will be responsible for ensuring proper review, verification and dispensing of all prescribed medications while in compliance with all company policies, all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

• Must provide excellent customer service, develop a strong relationship with patients by anticipating needs and proactively offer services. 

• Accountable for counseling patients and answer questions regarding usage of medications, dosages, side-effects, interactions, OTC products etc.

• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceuticals and clinical practices.

• Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and controlling stock.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and resolve any medication-related issues.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree or Pharm.D. Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

• Must currently be licensing by the Kansas Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy in the state of Kansas

• Prolonged periods of standing at a desk and working on a computer
